Grow Plants You Can Use

Perhaps the highest value that one can get from their landscape is to have it provide healthy food, spices and even herbal medicine while it does so efficiently and attractively.

Having helped companies get organic approval, we’ve learned along the way that organic doesn’t necessarily mean all that healthy.

How can that be?

Organic does mean lack of poisons, but it can also mean lack of nutrients.

Growing your own mean that you can control the soil inputs to insure that not only no poisons but that there’s an abundance of nutrients available to the plant.

In turn, then the plant can make more nutrients available in the vegetable, fruit or flower it produces.

And remember you don’t need to grow everything that your family eats.

Grow the few items you “love”, more than you can eat and create the relationships to trade the excess for those things you want.

Plan to do it before your friends or neighbors plant and create your own synergistic growing group!
